Outreach Activities

AquaBoricuas is a group formed by four aquatic researchers originally from Puerto Rico. We want to bring science to communities and high school classrooms in Puerto Rico through a hybrid program that will not only expose them to STEM fields and topics but also to professionals with similar cultural backgrounds. This project was funded through the ASLO Global Outreach Initiative program.

A short video on what a field campaign in the La Romaine Hydroelectric Complex entails. The video and field work was carried by my members of the CarBBAS group at UQAM and describes what we do, how we collect samples and data, what we do with it, and what it all means.

This video was sponsored by the GRIL DIALOGUE programme.
